Step 11 of the night

11nights.jpg

When we retire for the night
We review our day constructively.
Were we full of resentment?
Were we selfish?

Not honest?

Scared?

Do we owe an apology?
Have we left something for ourselves that needs to be discussed immediately with someone else?

Would we be loving and kind to everyone?

What could we have done better?

Did we think about ourselves most of the time?
Or have we thought about what we can do for the benefit of others?
What can we squeeze into the stream of life?

But we must be careful not to be drawn into worry, regret, or dark thoughts, because this will reduce the benefit we can bring to others. At the end of the review, we ask God to forgive us and ask what steps should be taken to improve the situation? (The Big Book, p. 66)
