**A Vision for You** emphasizes a return to the program’s roots – precise work according to the Big Book, with an emphasis on deep spiritual healing, courageous partnership, and service to others. The OA program itself was established on January 19, 1960, in Los Angeles, California,
The "A Vision for You" approach has evolved in recent years out of a need to return to the spiritual roots of OA. It was born from groups in the United States who began working the steps intensively according to the Big Book, and has become a global movement with phone meetings, Zoom, and daily recordings.
Is the program religious? Are there many references in the program to a higher power?

Is it possible to participate without physically attending meetings?
Yes! Vision meetings for you are held every morning in Zoom meetings. There are also meetings on Sunday and Wednesday evenings and meetings on Saturdays and holidays. Any compulsive eater is welcome to join a meeting. There are also recordings of meetings and special topic meetings. You can participate from anywhere in the world - the main thing is to connect to the meetings, take a coach and work on the program.
Enter the meeting calendar and find a meeting.
What is the role of a coach according to the vision?
A coach is a **spiritual guide** – someone who has gone through the steps themselves, lives the principles, and passes on the recovery to others. He is not a counselor, not a psychologist, but a friend who leads you through the steps from the Big Book, with love and sincerity. The coach according to the spiritual vision is someone who has gone through a spiritual awakening, completed the 12 steps, and lives by the principles of the vision for you.
How do you work out the steps according to the vision?
According to A Vision for You, the steps are worked **intensely, continuously, and precisely** from the Big Book. The work is done with a coach, includes writing, sharing, and service. Working the steps according to A Vision for You encourages deepening in the 12 steps as they are written in the Big Book and the goal is to complete the steps in as short a time as possible to provide service and become a coach to pass the program on to addicts who are still suffering.
What are alcoholic foods? (The Black List)
According to the doctor's opinion in the Big Book... that alcohol produces an "allergic" reaction in the body that causes the addict to have a physical allergy:
The addicted person's body reacts abnormally to the substance (alcohol, certain food) – meaning that once they start consuming it, they can't stop. This is a biological response that doesn't exist in a normal person.
And in the mental aspect
Even if the person knows that the substance is harmful to them, they continue to use it over and over again – out of an internal urge, obsessive thoughts, and lack of control.
Therefore, at Vision for You, we believe that just as alcohol is allergic to an alcoholic, there are foods that are "allergic" to us. More information can be found in the preparation for the steps and in the guidance on the "black" foods.
