The Prayer of Fear

 

If there is a better way, we will think so.

We find ourselves on a different footing.

A foundation on which we trust in God and rely on Him.

We trust in God, we will prevail in our limited place.

We live to play the game that is designed for us.

To the extent that we act as we think He wants us to act

And if we trust in Him with humility, He will enable us to establish peace as an antidote to evil. (The Big Book, p.66)
